Getting involved with Classes in Portobello/Craigmillar, Edinburgh
Getting involved with classes in Portobello/Craigmillar, Edinburgh? Here's how to make the most of it safely.
Most listings here are genuine, low-key ways to get involved locally - a class, a rideshare, a regular meetup. A little context (who's running it, how long it's been going) is usually all it takes to feel confident before you show up.
- For first meetups with someone new, choose a public place and let a friend or family member know your plans.
- Check event details (time, location, organiser) directly with the source where possible before attending.
- Be cautious of any group or class that asks for payment upfront with no way to verify who's running it.
- For rideshares and car pooling, agree costs and pickup points clearly before the day of travel.
