Getting involved with Rideshare & Car Pooling in Ashford Common, Kingston upon Thames

Getting involved with rideshare & car pooling in Ashford Common, Kingston upon Thames? Here's how to make the most of it safely.

Local groups, classes and events are one of the best ways to meet people with shared interests, but the same common sense that applies to meeting anyone new online still applies here. An established group with a track record of regular meetups is generally a safer starting point than a one-off event from an unfamiliar organiser.

• For first meetups with someone new, choose a public place and let a friend or family member know your plans.
• Check event details (time, location, organiser) directly with the source where possible before attending.
• Be cautious of any group or class that asks for payment upfront with no way to verify who's running it.
• For rideshares and car pooling, agree costs and pickup points clearly before the day of travel.
