Buying or selling for sale in Colinton/Fairmilehead, Edinburgh? These few checks make for a smoother deal.
Most private sales go smoothly, but a little preparation protects both sides. As a seller, accurate photos and an honest description save everyone time and avoid disputes later. - Meet in a public place for cash sales, or use a traceable payment method for higher-value items.
- Ask whether the item is still under manufacturer warranty and whether a receipt is available.
