Bringing home Pets in Mickleham, Westcott & Okewood, Kingston upon Thames

Thinking about pets in Mickleham, Westcott & Okewood, Kingston upon Thames? Here's what reputable sellers and rehomers expect you to ask.

A healthy animal from a responsible source is worth paying a fair price for - this isn't an area where the cheapest option is usually the best one. If a price seems unusually low for the breed or type, ask why before you ask anything else.

• Always see puppies or kittens with their mother, in the home they were raised in, before agreeing anything.
• Ask for proof of vaccinations, microchipping and any relevant health checks or breed-specific screening.
• Be very cautious of prices well below the typical range - it's a common sign of poor breeding conditions.
• A genuine seller won't rush you, and will happily answer questions about the animal's history and temperament.
