Bringing home Pets in Moreton West and Saughall Massie, Liverpool

Thinking about pets in Moreton West and Saughall Massie, Liverpool? Here's what reputable sellers and rehomers expect you to ask.

A healthy animal from a responsible source is worth paying a fair price for - this isn't an area where the cheapest option is usually the best one. If a price seems unusually low for the breed or type, ask why before you ask anything else.

• Be very cautious of prices well below the typical range - it's a common sign of poor breeding conditions.
• A genuine seller won't rush you, and will happily answer questions about the animal's history and temperament.
• For rehoming, ask why the pet is being given up and request any known behavioural or medical history.
• Arrange a home visit where possible rather than meeting only in a car park or public place.
