Finding Holiday Rentals in Leatherhead South, Kingston upon Thames

Whether you're renting, buying or letting holiday rentals in Leatherhead South, Kingston upon Thames, here's what to look out for.

If you're buying, a survey is worth the cost even on a property that looks move-in ready - problems that aren't visible on a casual viewing can be expensive to fix once you own the place. If you're renting, read the inventory carefully and photograph the property's condition on move-in day.

• Read the tenancy agreement or contract fully - don't rely on a verbal summary from the landlord or agent.
• Be cautious of listings priced noticeably below similar properties nearby - it's a common scam pattern.
• If a landlord or agent refuses an in-person viewing, treat that as a warning sign.
• For shared or swap arrangements, agree bills, notice periods and house rules in writing from day one.
