Finding Rooms To Rent in Stoneleigh, Kingston upon Thames

Searching for rooms to rent in Stoneleigh, Kingston upon Thames? A few checks before you commit can save you a costly mistake.

Every landlord, agent and seller should be able to explain the process clearly - who holds the deposit, what's included in the rent or price, and what happens if something goes wrong. If those answers are vague or keep changing, that's worth paying attention to before you commit.

• Be cautious of listings priced noticeably below similar properties nearby - it's a common scam pattern.
• If a landlord or agent refuses an in-person viewing, treat that as a warning sign.
• For shared or swap arrangements, agree bills, notice periods and house rules in writing from day one.
• Never transfer a deposit or holding fee before you've viewed the property in person.
