Buying and selling Cars in Old Malden, London
Buying or selling cars on Adsquare in Old Malden, London? A little care up front saves a lot of hassle later.
The private market moves fast, but that's no reason to skip the basics. A genuine seller is usually happy to answer questions, provide extra photos, or let you bring someone along to view the vehicle. If a seller pressures you to decide quickly, won't allow a proper look over, or asks for payment before you've seen it in person, treat that as a reason to walk away rather than a reason to hurry.
- Always view the vehicle in person and take it for a test drive before paying anything.
- Ask to see the V5C logbook and check the seller's name and address match it.
- Run an HPI or similar vehicle history check to rule out outstanding finance or write-offs.
- Check the MOT history online (free on GOV.UK) against the mileage shown to spot inconsistencies.
